Wasn't sure if Maitan was a reach at 1, was between him and Mendez so glad we ended up with both. Love the Haniger pick by Wash

Question: If there is a player available for drafting that I value more than another player my currently full minor league roster, can I cut a minor leaguer to draft in the 4th round? Thanks

You would have to promote the player and then pay penalty on that contract for 5 years

I thought you could cut minor leaguers and have it count %25 against the cap for the current year only.

Just for more clarification, after the draft and during the season you can drop minor leaguers for a one time 250k fee. During the portion of the off-season leading up to the draft, you can drop up to four for free, and a 250k fee for 5+. While the draft is in session, there's no free or 250k fee drops.
You can promote players to free up spots during the draft. And since you can still cut major league players during the draft, you can promote and cut, facing the 5-years worth of (small) ETFs.

Basabe and Fisher could provide sneaky good value from Round 5. I like both those picks.
